About
Automation, from the people who wire it up.
AutomAcademy is an industrial-automation publication written by working engineers. We cover PLC programming, instrumentation, SCADA/HMI and IIoT — with the detail that only comes from commissioning, wiring and debugging real systems.
What we do
Most automation content online is either a vendor brochure or a copy-pasted tutorial. We write the other thing: the field-tested how and why behind a task — the wiring you actually land, the tag you actually address, the fault you actually chase down at 2am on a live line.
Every article is grounded in hands-on work across food and beverage lines, autonomous mobile robots, machine vision and process instrumentation. Where we show code or configuration, it is meant to be read, understood and adapted — not blindly pasted onto live equipment.
What we cover
- PLC — programming, architecture, troubleshooting and the logic behind reliable control.
- Instrumentation — sensors, signals, calibration and the 4–20 mA world.
- SCADA / HMI — supervisory control, screens operators actually use, and data that means something.
- IIoT — connecting the plant floor to the cloud without breaking what already works.
